Tracheal Mite Scoring System

We will be using scoring system for tracheal mites this year instead of simply present or absent. Each bee will receive a score from 0 to 5 as follows:

0 = no tracheal mites in that bee

1 = 1-8 tracheal mites

2 = 9-30 tracheal mites

3 = 31-80 tracheal mites

4 = >80 mites and some scarring due to tracheal mites

5 = major scarring due to tracheal mites
